<b>Peristaltic pump extruder for 3DRAG printer. <b> The pump is optimized for a silicone tube of 3.5 mm diameter. The tube diameter can be changed in the parametric openScad files. The extruder is provided with a tube suitable for standard deliverable pipette tips. Please note that an O-ring is inserted in between the two printed parts (named ..ugello...) to avoid leakages. Three 100 ohm resistors are placed in series instead of the thermistor in order to let software read a temperature of about 200 °C. No special settings are necessary in the slicer, only changing the diameter of the filament (trial and errors) and the nozzle diameter (i.e. the hole of pipette tip) are needed for the configuration. If the motor rotates in the wrong direction simply invert two wires. The extruder is able to draw easily alginates solution 4 wt %. In the movie the alginate solution stained with a die is pipetted inside a calcium chloride solution in order to start the gelification.
