this is a straight tooth gear set conversion kit for the 3dsets Landy and rancher trucks. the gear ratio is the same. there are doubles of the pinion gear and the longest shaft of the transmission to help deal with printing items in nylon at high temperatures the double parts slow down the print and allow cooling without the need for a fan. The shafts need to be printed with a large BrIm to hold them steady during the printing. the gears do not need a brim use PVA glue as needed. the kit only includes the parts needed for conversion you will need your original 3dsets files to fill in the missing pieces. 2 original shafts are used from 3dsets no changes were made. look at the colored layout of the replacement parts in the screenshot these are the two blue colored shafts anyplace where a slant gear was requires changes to these new parts. yellow and green parts are replacements. 2 additional parts are included these are sleeves that are placed on the two gear shafts closest to the motor plate. these slide on the shafts after the gear and lock the gears in place on the shafts preventing them from possibly moving fore and aft on the shafts. these sleeves can also be used on the original transmissions to lock the slant gears in place. gear ratio has not been altered, same as original. this gear conversion will also allow you to use a normal mod 1 10T steel pinion gear. you can also take the spur gear from this conversion kit and put it into the original gearbox with slant gears allowing you to keep the slant gears and just use a normal pinion gear if you wish. this kit gives you more options. you decide if this is better or worse then the original gear box. have fun out in the rough!
