<p>As the title implies, this replaces the failure-prone OEM caps for the Costco “Simply Purrfect” brand of cat litter bottles; and probably other brands as well. It screws right on the ones we get fresh from the store, but you might want to print a few % large for easier fitting if yours have been without caps for a while.</p><p>We use the jugs as garden and emergency (fire/earthquake) water storage. &nbsp;The OEM caps fail and let mosquitos and other bugs in, and let the water evaporate. &nbsp;When they don't fail, they tend to hold the chlorine in the jug, which is not the best for plants.&nbsp;</p><p>This cap is deliberately not airtight, so as to let the chlorine out. In fact, if you tip the jug over, the cap will weep, which can be useful for watering large pots or garden plants if you're going away for a few days and expect hot weather.&nbsp;</p><p>If you use this on your emergency water supply, best to check the water level every so often and boil before drinking.&nbsp;</p><p>Prints well in PETG with a 0.40mm nozzle, 0.15mm draft settings, no skirt, brim or raft, otherwise default PrusaSlicer2.4.2 settings. (note: The included .3mf and .gcode include a skirt, 'cause I was having trouble with 1st layer adhesion when I made them.)</p><p>.STL, .STEP and Solidworks files included.&nbsp;</p>
