3M to Bartels-Rieger Mask Filter Adapter

This is an adapter for Bartels-Rieger filters, to fit them into 3M bayonet attachments. I took the 3M Bayonet adapter from Bdillahunty's thing:4227960. I am quite grateful. These are best printed with no brim, no raft, just supports, in the alignment provided. This will make sure that the contact surfaces are nice and smooth for the best vacuum seal, assuming you have a smooth print surface. After fitting the filters into the adapter, cespite how tight the 93mm fit is, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to seal the wide gap between the filter and the adapter with some sort of sealant. Silicone and hot glue are two of the more common options. Anything that provides a tight seal is a good idea. You may think this makes the filter single-use; that's theoretically correct, but preliminary results indicate that this filter arrangement will, under normal use, last at least two weeks, if not double that. A good lifetime for a simple printed part and some glue. If you want an even better seal, it would not be unwise to coat the outside of the adapter in any surface sealant that you trust, the tighter the better. Paint, urethane and epoxy would be my suggestions, as long as you air them out enough to invalidate the effect of the fumes, or choose a type that does not produce a lot of fumes. Of course, I cannot take any liability for the product, it is a ghetto build by an amateur. If you want to place your trust in it, that's your thing. But I appreciate your trust placed in my 3Ding skills, thank you very much. Good luck!
