3rd Gen 4Runner Cargo Door Strut Bushing

Designed a few models for the bushing in the upper strut mount for the rear cargo door. These things inevitably wear out and as far as I know there is no replacement available for purchase. There are two models....one like the original bushing design, and another one which I think under the circumstances works better. The first pic is of the factory style installed and the second is of the other design. I dimensioned everything on the large size to account for wear tolerances already in the mount and pin. That being said...these may not "snap" right in (or they might)....they will probably have to be massaged a bit to work for your application...but it's better than being too loose right from the get. One thing I did have to do was to run a 5/16 drill bit through the hole to clean it up, and a little filing here and there. The factory style might work better if the hole was only cleaned up from the flat side to just slightly beyond where the taper begins...thinking it might aid in spreading the "fingers" out to lock it better as the pin is being slid in. I printed these in ABS for durability, PLA would probably work also as they don't have a whole lot of freedom of movement to warp...
