A blank 3u 14hp panel to fit 19" racking. Designed to accept normal panel mount fixings. Useful for blanking off sections (though PLA etc. won't have the same shielding effect as a metal panel), and deriving front panel designs. The OpenScad file contains a number of component hole types that can be "added" to the blank panel on a grid and the facility to generate a PCB mounting bracket. This allows prototyping the panel design prior to potentially machining an aluminium panel. The photo shows an example customized panel with various component holes and PCB mounting bracket. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Ormerod Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.5mm nozzle 0.2mm layers Infill: 25% Notes: These are the settings I've used. No reason why others won't also work. You may want to up the infil if you are creating a panel with mounted components that will be subject to stress. PLA isn't nearly as strong as aluminium. Post-Printing Simply file off extra plastic on the edges and a little in the fixing holes. Insert fixings and screws. Fix to rack. How I Designed This Created from mechanical drawings of rack parts.
