3D model of a smart entertainment system designed, programmed, build and optimized by four 2nd year students of TU Delft. almost all of the plastic components are 3D printed. It is run by Arduino software. A video is linked of this prototype. This video explains how it works. The aim of our project is to create an intelligent system that can play CONNECT FOUR against a human player. Above each of the seven columns of the board we put the same type of sensor to detect when and where the player throws a coin. Our robot will then choose himself a smart place to throw his coin in, and does so with 2 actuators (one for linear movement along the top of the playing field, and one for the 'release' of a coin). As an additional function we want to make a control (in order to start the game or abort) for which we use a color sensor, which detects a yellow or red color. The system is able to determine the starting player and also recognize when the game is won / lost, and will notify you via a LED display.
