This is an adapter to convert a 4" dust collector hose to a Grizzly W1049 30 Gallon 2-Stage Separator. It is designed to snap in from the rear with rabbet edges to hold it in place. Full disclosure - I did have to sand my W1049 openings slightly to get them to fit, although I would imagine there is some variation in their diameter from the factory.
