4-way gate adapter for PXN 0082 Arcade Joystick

I made this adapter to use with my budget-priced PXN 0082 Arcade joystick, which I bought to play retro games on a PC. The joystick works okay, but it comes standard with a square gate installed (like most plug-in joystick controllers), which means it can travel in 8 different directions. Unfortunately, many retro arcade games (ex. Donkey Kong Series, Pacman series, BurgerTime) don't respond to diagonal joystick inputs, so your character just stops moving when the joystick hits those diagonal spots. If you've tried to play these games with a standard joystick, you know what I mean. This adapter presses into and clips inside the square gate that comes stock on the PXN 0082. No need to remove the existing gate. Just remove the underside cover (6 screws) of the controller, and press this adapter into the square gate opening under the joystick. If/when you want to return your joystick to stock, just reverse the procedure. NOTE: Of course, if you choose to use this adapter you'll be doing so at your own risk, and it might void your warranty. I can't guarantee that you'll be satisfied with the results, but it's been working great in my controller. I'd planned to refine the adapter and make it look better, but it's been working great as is and appearance isn't important since it's inside the controller, so I just left well enough alone. The budget PXN is no "competition" joystick, but with this adapter installed I can at least enjoy playing those retro arcade games once again, and at my (lacking) skill level, the controller definitely isn't what's keeping me from achieving good scores! : )
