It has been a while since I uploaded something to this website but I figured I should start sharing my creations in hopes they might benefit others down the road. This is a built-from-scratch 40mm fan with pivot arm that runs on a small hobby motor. The DC motor is a 6V one that I salvaged from an old inject printer, so sadly I have no further information on it. The fan shroud has two clip on points so a second fan shroud could be attached to redirect the air flow. 3 small screws attach the fan shroud to the motor mount. The pivot arm uses a M4 bolt and nut and is approximately 65 mm long. The fan blades pressure fit to the motor coupling. If it's a little lose you can wrap the coupling in Teflon tape to make it a tighter fit. Made in Fusion360: http://a360.co/2lEuxWa This was originally designed to cool the DC motor to a water pump I built, that is what the background of the pictures are. Works well and is a little more nosier than a 40mm pc fan. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Printrbot Simple Metal Rafts: No Supports: No
