The point of this is to allow a turbofan (50x50x15mm) to replace a 40mm fan on any (in theory) 40mm fan shroud, on any printer. For instance, let's say you have one of these: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:351280 or one of these: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:356001 or heck, perhaps even this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1676718 ...but you want the benefits/added power of a turbofan instead of the 40mm fan those are designed for. That's where this Thing comes into play; print the adapter plate appropriate "mount" - be it normal or angled, mirrored or non-mirrored, bolt them together, snap a turbofan into the mount, and attach the adapter plate to your 40mm fan shroud in place of a 40mm fan, angling the turbofan and/or changing the orientation of the plate to best match the particular setup of your printer/fan. Note for Wombot e3D Titan users: When using AnthonyQ's E3D Wombot carriage (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1577005), be sure to use the "turbofan_mount_angled-wombot_E3D_Titan.stl" and "turbofan-40mm_adapter_plate.stl" files. UPDATES 09-27-17 I just added a new "extended lip" fan holder piece; it gives a little more of a ledge to try and "grab" the edge of the Wombot E3D Titan mount. (If you don't know what I'm talking about then you probably have no use for this. ;D )
