Dacian cup The cup has the shape of a truncated cone with slightly curved walls, a wide rim and a narrow bottom. The handle, quadrilateral in cross-section, is inserted under the rim and near the bottom. It was decorated with small oblique incisions near the base. Most specialists consider the vessel to have been used as a cup-like oil-lamp, as it has traces of secondary burning on the inside. It is possible to have been used also in rituals, considering some Dacian archaeological contexts.
