The Answer.

Also, just having fun trying out a some 3D CAD and printing ideas. More versions on the way.

This one : Answer Box

Open the box for the answer to the question, AND the question.

OnShape 3D CAD files :

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/d10ca635a063bba2fb22b82e/w/9ac4442391430f895af9aaf7/e/d74ad25f390636b8a4bf7ea4

Print instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf file provided; otherwise :

10% rectilinear infill

perimeters = 2

This print is designed to be printed in multiple colors with filament switching - use two to four colors (there are three filament switches). I used:

gray for box

red for lid cut-out text background

gray for box again (and inside raised text)

black for top of 42

Allow the print to cool completely before bending the hinges. When first moving the lid on the finished box, bend the hinge slowly and carefully (supporting the top of the hinges with your fingertips helps) until they break loose and rotate freely.

The first printed layer is hard to get perfectly right - very good bed adhesion is required.
