The Answer.

Also, just having fun trying out a some 3D CAD and printing ideas. More versions on the way.

This one : 42 Raster

In these prints (there are two variations) I create an image using a raster in a manner similar to an old style television set which used a series of lines (varying in vertical thickness) - a raster image. For these prints I vary the line size vertically instead of horizontally, but the principle is the same.

I tried creating the raster line horizontal thickness in both thin and thick versions to see which would work better. Each version has slightly different optical qualities as the prints are tilted and rotated. I couldn't decide which I liked better, so I am including both.

The photos show the two prints side by side and from different angles. It would be fun to put this print on a rotating turntable.

OnShape 3D CAD files :

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/49adb31c20be2ae090fe0e9e/w/c547844ee0f3b5d27a1d1688/e/a528a1f20e071b5d7e2db296

Print instructions

Use the provided 3mf files to print in PLA in two different colors (by filament switching).

The "b" versions are the tick raster lines, the "c" versions are the thin raster lines.
