The Answer.

Also, just having fun trying out a some 3D CAD and printing ideas. More versions on the way.

This one : 42 Splash

An attempt to show the numbers falling into a pool of liquid. Turned out pretty well, I think, with the "liquid" printed in silk blue.

OnShape 3D CAD files :

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/5647669b38bc774a5e32b5ae/w/512984f608cea4472e7bb9e6/e/ebd58c43febee22b23b6226f

Print instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf file provided - prints in two colors with filament switching. Otherwise :

10% rectilinear infill

support enforcer under the overhanging end of the "2"

contact Z distance = 0.2mm (for supports)

As noted, I used silk blue for the "liquid" part of the print and it gave a nice effect. Take care when removing the support material from the "2" as the base of the "2" is thinly joined to the base (I added a dab of superglue to the base of the "2" for additional support).

This print would probably work well with any two contrasting colors.
