45-degree Bookshelf Corner adapter

thingiverse

This Thing is for a adapting IKEA type bookshelf (or any cupboard for that matter) to link up at a 45 degree angle without showing a seam at the front. Typically you do this twice to create 90 degree corner with a narrow shelf at 45 degrees in the corner. I printed them with 3 walls, 10% infill. The bottom one is screwed into ONE SIDE (2 screws), and on the other side, in the right place, you put a screw on the cabinet, and LOWER the non-attached shelf to fit into the wedge-shaped recess on the bracket. The bottom bracket is symmetrical, so it will work on either side. The top bracket can be mirrored for Left and Right symmetry. The receding edge of the wedge is at the top so as to be invisible from the front of the cabinet. The top bracket is on the plate upside-down in order to print without supports. At the top, you screw it in from the top, or if you want to hide it, then use the bottom bracket again just below the edge.
