This is my 45° sectioned Level 3 Menger Sponge. There are many like it, but this one is mine^H^H^H^H ours. Because this has so many paths, this will be quite a noisy workout for most filament-based printers. The model is constructed differently from most Menger Sponge models, and I will be releasing one with OpenSCAD source in due course. This was designed and printed on a ridiculously hot day at Protolab in Toronto. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25 mm Infill: 20% Notes: Printed using Filaments.ca dark blue PLA at 195°C. The air temperature was around 30°C, so I effectively had a heated bed on a plain unheated PrintrBot. As the model has so many holes, infill barely matters. Printed using Cura with basic settings as attached. This is a noisy print, but fun to watch. Make sure you have good bed adhesion. The model might be slightly too small to make out the square holes in the Level 3 sponge, but most of them are clear.
