This is a mounting frame/bezel for a generic 4x4 matix keyboard for DIY projects available on the AliExpress and eBay. By default this keyboard is meant to be installed inside the device casing, and requires a clean cutout for the keypad. This frame lets you install the keyboard on top of the device's casing, having just a small cutout for the ribbon cable underneath the keyboard PCB.
