4x5" Film Box (3-part)

When sending large format film off to be processed, you often need to package it in a light-tight box. The easiest way to get this sort of box, is to finish one of the boxes that the film comes in. If you're relatively new to large format, however, you may not actually have spare boxes. Furthermore, its almost impossible to actually find these boxes sold separately from the film. As such, I decided to design this box as a backup option in case I ever found myself unable to find any spare film boxes for shipping purposes. It has approximately the same dimensions as a typical cardboard 3-part 4x5" large format film box, perhaps with a bit more slack on the pieces so it won't get stuck. When placing film inside this box, its advisable to use an inner plastic bag just in case. Its also probably a good idea to add some tape around the edges of the pieces to increase friction. Finally, make sure to tape the box closed so that it won't come open accidentally during handling.
