4x5 Negative Carrier for Epson V500 Scanner

I have a nifty little Epson scanner that can scan 135 negatives, 120 negatives, and slides. Unfortunately, it won't handle 4X5 negatives made with sheet film like my PINH5AD Pinhole camera. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:143882 The expensive solution is a bigger, better scanner, like the $600++ Epson V700. The cheap solution is to scan each half of the negative and the stitch the two resulting images together with software. Photoshop can do this easily, as can several plugins for GIMP. I plan to use a standalone application called Hugin. http://hugin.sourceforge.net/ This carrier plate is printed in three parts and then secured in position with gaffer tape for the scanning process. If you have a V500, you will have plates of the same shape, and orientation will be as in the photos. UPDATE: First batch of scanned negatives from the PINH5AD 3D Printed 4X5 Pinhole Camera: http://www.flickr.com/photos/theschlem/sets/72157635640450384/ Sample images posted for this thing to show product of stitching scans. All defects in images result from my lack of skills in this process. I downloaded and installed Hugin on my Win7 laptop, but it wouldn't run. I have a variety of Linux machines also, but I haven't tried running Hugin on them yet. I, instead, used GIMP to manually stitch the individual scans. This is not a very satisfying method, in that minor differences in the scanned halves can make for a visible junction. There are also plugins for GIMP that presumably match the stitched images with an algorithm. Much to try and learn.
