4X8 Warhammer Gaming Table

Rough outline of how my gaming table is going to look. Table will be 4X8. The base of the table will be 3 inch thick pink insulation foam. The foam will have a industrial platform overhanging a mining shaft carved into the foam. Next to the mining shaft is a surface entrance hatch to an Imperium mega-city. Marked by a red square on the layout. The entrance hatch will be flat but feature small trenches where the metal plates come together. The hatch will also feature a power station. (Orange half cylinder.) The grey cubes will be primitive settlements that have sprung up around the resource discarded as scrap by Imperium work crews servicing the mine and power generators. I plan on doing a high gothic cathedral on the hill top. Not sure how to justify it in lore though.
