Well I was wanting the cool factor of a floppy drive in my case, but couldn't justify filling the slot with something unusable in my day to day. So I made a face plate for a card reader. It's sized to 149mm wide, assembly is fairly straight forward. Insert the flippy latch into the faceplate, there's a visible gap, don't push too hard. *Warning, it's probably un-removable* File down both sides of the 5.25 adapter plate to allow it to slide inside of the 5.25 slot. Apply a thin layer of contact cement to the 5.25 adapter around the perimeter. Center the faceplate and sqouze the two sides together. Notes: The pictured faceplate is V1, V1 had an 8mm tall slot, which only allowed the thin USB plugs to mostly fit. V2 has a 10mm tall slot and should fit most USB's fine.
