5.25 to (2) 3.5 HDD bracket for LianLi PC-Q08

This adapter is designed for computer cases that have some extra space at the top or bottom of their 5.25" bay. It takes one 5.25" drive bay and converts it into two 3.5" hard disk mounts. You will need to use two of these adapters to mount your drives, one on each side. To install this adapter, you will need the following hardware: 8 Hard drive screws - 6-32 x 1-inch flathead 4 Optical mount screws - M3 x 6mm 4 Optical mount nuts - M3 (5.5mm flat-to-flat) I created this adapter because I ran out of space in my NAS and wanted to see if I could use the 5.25" bay to add two more disks and an SSD for a cache drive. My Lian Li PC-Q08 case has an empty space above its 5.25" bay, so I designed an adapter to fit two 3.5" drives in it. I believe this adapter will work in other cases that have empty space above or below their 5.25" bays. The design allows for standard 3.5" disks up to a height of 26.1mm and includes about a 4-5mm air gap between the drives for fan ventilation with max height disks.
