Modelled a 5.56x45 NATO round in Onshape. All dimensions should be accurate (apart from the bullet itself, as it varies). If it does not print well, I suggest splitting the model in a program like NetFabb and then gluing the pieces together. The 5.56x45 NATO is amongst the most used rounds in the modern military. It see's use in AR15 style rifles, such as the M4A1 Carbine in the US Military, as well as in the British SA80 firearm family, in rifles such as the L85A2. It is a small round, thus light, making it good for the average soldier. They are capable of carrying many rounds when in service, each round capable of being fatal. The more common civilian version is the .223 Remington. In many ways, the rounds are alike, in general size, but the military 5.56x45 NATO is loaded at a higher pressure and has a faster muzzle velocity. Have fun!
