5 Degree of Freedom Arm This project is intended on being an educational project so kids can learn about robotics. Originally I intended on having it controlled by servos and a microcontroller but realized that may have been a bit complex for the age group I was designing it for. After this project, I may expand on it to aim it at a more advanced group. Instructions Very basic 5 DoF Arm. Still in progress. Current version 0.3 as of 11/1/12 The motors are purchased from http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/180 I might get more powerful motors or servos as one of the motors cannot support the entire weight of the arm so whenever power is cut, it will drop to its local equilibrium point. I used these switches https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10545 Pushing up would turn the motor clockwise, pushing down would turn the motor counterclockwise I included one of these switches just for fun. Everybody loves missile switches!
