$5 Five Dollar Filament Spool

$5 Five Dollar Filament Spool

thingiverse

This spool is designed to securely hold spools of $5 Filament from ProtoParadigm. The halves screw together. This was inspired by another design I saw, but wanted some changes, so I designed this from the ground up to use less plastic, have space for bearings, and have thicker/stronger walls for the threaded areas. This calls for standard 608 bearings for a smooth, care-free glide. Print Settings Printer: i3 Varient Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: .2mm Infill: 15% Notes: Depending on your bridging performance, you may or may not need support. I printed with support (in the bearing area) because it was such a small amount.
