5 Speed transmission

This is a 5-speed transmission that I have designed from scratch. Using MATLAB I have designed a calculator that will calculate the gear ratios and compute the relevant data required such as the gear geometry and the number of teeth per gear. Furthermore, the program will create plots that show optimum shifting times, distance travelled in each gear and the vehicle speed.Once I have obtained the data from the calculator I created a parametric model of a helical gear so that I could quickly input the number of teeth, module, pressure angle and helical angle and CATIA will generate the geometry for me. Finally, I had assembled everything together and using one of my other models "Blocker Ring Synchromesh Unit" I generated this final model.Make sure you check out the calculations folder to see some of the plots.hope you enjoy the modelYohann
