This is an adapter plate to install 6x9 automotive speakers in place of 5x7. This design is inherently universal, but was designed around use for the the NC Miata. - This adapter plate is intended to be screwed on to the mounting surface of the 5x7 using the inner set of ears to draw the cut line. - While placed on your stock plastics pre-drill all of the mounting holes you intend on using. - Once marked and pre-drilled remove the adapter plate. Cut away the material inside of your cut lines and smooth the edges once complete. - Snip the 5x7 mounting ears and discard. - Replace the adapter plate using the mounting holes you have pre-drilled. - It is recommended to use some form of adhesive (superglue) between the adapter plate and the stock plastics. - Once the glue is set install the 6x9 speakers in the appropriate mounting holes. Another file with additional strength/height will be uploaded at a later date. Not intended for commercial use of any kind.
