50, 100, 110 XYZ Calibration Ruler Minimal
thingiverse
I designed a simplified test for calibration that measures steps without unnecessary tests found on other rulers from Thingiverse. This design includes marks along the Z-axis, positioned internally so digital calipers can access them without obstruction. To take measurements, align your calipers between the center points or tops of the marks. If necessary, adjust for the thicker outside wall due to its unsupported edges by reducing the Horizontal Expansion setting in Cura from -0.1 to -0.4mm. This ensures accurate step and wall dimensions. The X, Y, and Z marks are 50mm apart, center to center. The outermost marks span 100mm, while the overall length is 110mm from one end of the long spans to the other.
