500ml Sport Bottle Cap

<p>I needed a quick way to turn a standard 500ml water bottle, into a sport bottle, where I could quickly change out the cap, as the water bottles were used. &nbsp;We had a sporting event where we needed to share the water, and needed a way to allow that sharing to occur without having the participants touch the opening of the bottle with their mouth. &nbsp;I was not able to find a good thread model, so I designed a thread model that fit the thread type on the top of the bottle. &nbsp;This is for the bottles with the ~24mm opening, and have three independent threads, versus a single thread.</p><p>I was having issues trying to make a good seal, so I quickly modeled up the cap, to use a standard 5/8" hose washer, like what is used on typical garden hoses. &nbsp;This makes a great seal to keep the cap from leaking and was a very inexpensive way to make both the model easy to print and have something that could be changed out quickly.</p><p>I also found it works on the smaller 8oz bottles shown in the pictures.</p>
