If you enjoy vintage victorian rifles like me, you are probably tired of having to measure each piece of brass with a caliper. This is for a 577/450 Martini Henry cartridge to measure case length. This works for me when I use Lee resizing dies, and i can tell immediately if its the correct length. When I form new cases I use this to quickly saw off the necks to near perfect length with only .001'-.002": trim needed. WARNING this works great for my rifle and situation but may not yours! Use at your own risk, I am not a qualified gunsmith and do not pretend to be such. Feel free to modify it if you need to to achieve the correct case sizes. Printer must be pretty well calibrated to get the cases fitting right. I needed just a slight sanding with emery paper to get perfect fit and release. Edit: I made it a little looser on the tolerances so that it fits the empty casings easier, i also noticed my sizing was a little longer than the normal because of the bases of my cartridges. Rev2 is included which fixes some of those problems for me and may for yout too. Post a make id love to see it!
