I love playing wargames, but it can get pretty expensive. Making games more immersives usually means buying cool scenery and terrain. When you look around on the internet for cool scenery, you find a lot of laser cut mdf stuff. What we find is that they use a layering technique, where multiple pieces overlap each other to create walls, and other cool things. I've especially love the destroyed houses and apocalyptic stuff, so I figured that instead of buying a $40+ house or piece, why not make my own for a lot less. So starting small, I made a dilapidated shed, half of it is gone, and the rest of it is barely standing. Since that was a success, I decided to go bigger. Taking the same floor plan of my first house, I created the Newport! It's a destroyed house created in TinkerCad, and designed to be put together using the layering technique found in laser cut scenery. What's nice about a layering technique, is you can paint everything first, then put it together, offering a pretty cool depth. Plus, the 3d printing files here are almost like laser cutting board. 3d printing gives you a bit more freedom, but the concept is similar.
