Lion was skillfully drawn in Inkscape using precise lines and shapes. Next, each set of identical objects with the same hue was carefully exported to a separate STL file. Each STL file was then successfully imported into Tinkercad, altered to a specific height, duplicated, and mirrored for perfect symmetry. Notably, every nostril was included in each color scheme to ensure precise alignment on both sides. To tackle the complex task of multi-color printing, the Prusa slicer was used with meticulous attention to layer heights between colors. All changes were meticulously documented to facilitate seamless processing. The resulting G-code was expertly split using the PRUSA Color Change modifier, a technique described in detail at https://blog.prusaprinters.org/color-print/. At these optimized heights, a remarkable print quality was achieved. The primary objective was to complete this intricate print within 4.5 hours at standard infill settings, but due to unforeseen color changes triggered during other tasks, the actual printing time exceeded 5 hours. To maximize the effects of height variations, it is essential to print this design fairly large. The employed filaments, in order from bottom to top, consisted of White, Grey, Bronze, Shining, Wood, Marble, and Black. This majestic lion stands at an impressive size of 13cm x 18cm, demanding a sturdy base for stability. A thin foundation was deliberately designed, suggesting that it would be beneficial to attach the print to another base for enhanced rigidity and easier removal from the build plate.
