7 Degree Angle Blocks

7 Degree Angle Blocks

Had a job come up that needed some compound angles cut in 1.25" square tubing. Having only a powered hacksaw with an angle that is only adjustable in one plane, I decided to create some angle blocks so I could achieve the 7 degree cut on the diamond cross section. The blocks are marked 7 Left and 7 Right, and the measurements are as follows: 3/4" W x 3/4" H x 3.5" L Just place the blocks in your vise, lay your tubing on the blocks, tighten vise, and you should be able to affect an accurate 7 degree cut in the end of a piece of square or round tubing. Added a modified version. One piece, faster, stronger, better.
