7mm Dutch style cableclamp

7mm Dutch style cableclamp

The Story I needed some 7mm cableclamps, but i'm too lazy to bend my work-home route to a hardware store to buy them. I didn't like the more simple designs here on Thingiverse, so I copied the typical Dutch cableclamp design more or less. Nail size The nail has to be around 2mm thickness. If the nail goes in very tight, it might be an idea to heat the nail (hold it with some pliers), and melt it through the hole. If you smash a too big nail through the hole, the plastic might and probably will break. If you don't own any spare nails, you can print the one that's available in this project :-) j/k Other cable sizes If you need any other size, just change the scale. Scale 1 = 7mm. so if you need 12mm, do 1 / 7 * 12 and type that number into the scale parameter in your slicer. Here is a table for MM Diameter to scale conversion: Cable diameter MMScaleNail size in MM 1 0,143 0,3 2 0,286 0,6 3 0,429 0,9 4 0,571 1,1 5 0,714 1,4 6 0,857 1,7 7 1,000 2,0 8 1,143 2,3 9 1,286 2,6 10 1,429 2,9 11 1,571 3,1 12 1,714 3,4 13 1,857 3,7 14 2,000 4,0 15 2,143 4,3 16 2,286 4,6 17 2,429 4,9 18 2,571 5,1 19 2,714 5,4 20 2,857 5,7 21 3,000 6,0 22 3,143 6,3 23 3,286 6,6 24 3,429 6,9 25 3,571 7,1 26 3,714 7,4 27 3,857 7,7 28 4,000 8,0 29 4,143 8,3 30 4,286 8,6 Print Settings Notes: Use a max. 0.4mm thick nozzle otherwise parts will be missing. Cura says that any infill takes 4 minutes no matter what, so i would suggest just doing 100% since it needs to withstand some bending (pushing the cable in) and beating (hammering the nail).
