Sub rings to upgrade to 8" subs for Holden/Vauxhall Monaro and Pontiac GTO - VY/VZ bodies as far as I know, but maybe earlier ones too. I developed this on my UK VY/V2 Monaro CV8, and the carpet has an integrated brake light which justabout went back into position. I used Pyramid brand subs (cheap!). It's a tight clearance, but mine went in without any cutting or hammering. I'm not claiming they are the ultimate in audio design, but they should slot right in and sound good to me :) First and second attempt photos are below...the published version is something like seventh or eighth attempt...an 8" sub really doesn't want to fit in that space! Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: Coarse, say 0.3mm Infill: 30%+? Notes: Print them flange-side down, and just cut off the tabs that help keep the edges of the feet tidy. The parts are long and thin, so tricky to avoid curling without a heated bed. You will need to use support, but very little support material is used. I recommend printing in thick layers using ABS (for temperature resistance in the car), although my PLA ones have lasted going on 2 years no problem in temperate Britain! I think I used 30-40% infill, and 3 shell layers - just make sure it's tough as you're going to give it a hard life! Assemble using m5 bolts with nyloc nuts. You may need to gently run a 5mm drill inside the holes, and don't over-tighten the nuts! How I Designed This Mkii, Mki
