**Disclaimer:** I do not recommend this as a substitute for the real deal, the **8020** [10-series corner piece](https://8020.net/4119.html). I made these because I ran out of corner pieces, and the project I'm using them in only needs maybe half as many of them. I could just wait, but I'm also trying to learn **OpenSCAD** because that hull feature rocks the house in ways heretofore unbeknownst to man or beast. Works best with 1/4-20 hardware. I've printed this in 3 different orientations, and whichever you prefer is probably going to depend on your needs. As I said, this is not meant for anything especially load-bearing, but if you use the right materials and print settings, you'd be surprised what it's capable of. From a tensile strength point of view, arguably the most resilient is the "roof" orientation, with the broadest side facing down and the corner pointing up. Lookswise, and second in line on the tensile strength front, I personally prefer the sideways print, with the mounting holes both perpendicular to the build plate. There's a bit of overhang, but if you're printing with a thick enough shell it shouldn't affect anything. The upright (default) position is easily the weakest, but by far the easiest to print.
