80mm Case Fan Adapter

This is to connect a 4 inch dryer vent exhaust hose to an 80mm PC case fan. I run my printer in my basement and have cats who like to hang out with me while I'm working. I will occasionally want to print in ABS and other materials that are unpleasant to smell and may not be great for your health to breath (particularly for small pets). I needed to create an exhaust system that would pull the smell/fumes out of the living area and duct it outside. I use an acrylic enclosure on my Robo 3D R1 Plus that I purchased from PrintedSolid.com. I went to my local PC and hardware stores and picked up all the supplies I needed...except for a reliable method of connecting the vent hose to the case fan.... So...this is my solution. There is a similar solution out there for use with 3 inch dryer hose, but the 3 inch wasn't available locally to me, so I went with the 4 inch. The square section simply slides over the entire outside of the case fan. There are NO fasteners required! Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: low Infill: 10% Notes: You might not need the supports. I used them only in the corners to support where the round section overhangs the inside of the square corners...just in case. Post-Printing Sorry...I had it installed and was running ABS when I wrote this, so I don't have a post process pic. The supports came out very easily and I didn't do any post-processing on the part.
