This is a replacement adapter for the stock amd FX cooler with 4 heat pipes. I believe it is a coolermaster cooler. I wanted to ugrade the fan to a larger quieter 80mm fan since the stock one was quite loud on mine. The 80mm fan can't be added with a standard adapter because the stock fan is snapped in not screwed in. This replaces the stock plastic piece that comes with the cooler. It uses standard fan screws to screw through the back of the plate and into the fan. I made it a little tight so you may have to play with it to get it to sit just right. I know this is for some older PC parts but I hope you find it useful
