After 2 years (almost to the day which is ironic) I decided to revisit my fan adapters and I redid them from the ground up (knowing I was going to be including the source) to make it simpler for you to modify the source how you wished. I also thickened the walls slightly to help improve the print and I changed over to a revolved extrude and cut in case someone wishes to have even a thicker wall or make different angles etc... What these do is convert a different sized fan (25mm thick) for use on an 80mm x 10mm fan connector. By doing this your noise level and sound level can be EXTREMELY decreased while putting out more CFM than a 40mm can ever do. For the 120mm, 92mm, and the 80mm fan mounts there are extra tall versions (30mm taller) that allow more airflow to pass. If you use the source you can adjust the throat length easily by editing the feature named "Throat Length Here". I did not make this an equation driven distance as that would have been overkill and it is just simpler for you to adjust it at the source for something this trivial. Instructions This requires 3mm x 15mm fan mount screws for the 40mm side and 4.5mm x 30mm for the 120mm fan connection (4 of each type) and 4mm x 30mm for the others. All mounting fans need to be 25mm or adjust the length of the 4 screws for it. Use heavy infill for this since it will need it and I honestly suggest 50% to 75% due to the weight of the larger fans and the screws need the infill to really dig into.
