Experimental archaeologist Caroline Jeffra crafts a vessel using the traditional wheel-throwing technique. Archaeologist Kelly Papastergiou meticulously scans the piece with a DAVID SLS-3 structured light scanner, capturing its intricate details. The texture is captured using the native DAVID-camera, resulting in an exceptionally high-resolution scan of 0.0368mm. With a staggering 11053669 vertices, the original OBJ file weighs in at 1.62GB. To facilitate online sharing, the file was optimized to 576571 vertices and condensed into a manageable 172MB size.
