A Heavyweight Rival is a 150gram combat robot using 4wd to push and dominate the arena. No matter whether it's upside down or right side up, the articulated jaws will always find the flat arena floor. Four x N20 micro metal geared motors are being used, with the 600rpm ones selected for their high performance. A Dasmikro 2a6v duel ESC is installed to provide reliable control and efficiency. A compact Frsky mini 4channel radio system is integrated for precise control. A Micro switch provides a secure and responsive interface. The robot features advanced 3mm titanium jaws that are designed to withstand heavy impacts. The chassis and other components are printed in durable NylonX material. The hardware is made from high-strength 3m materials. Tire molds are being developed, including smooth tread, fine tread, and coarse tread designs. Testing of these molds will begin soon to assess their performance. Additional parts will be added as they prove effective after print tests. UPDATE: My printer failed during the printing process on November 9th. I have ordered a replacement part, which is expected to arrive by November 20th or sooner. If all goes well, testing of the molds should begin shortly after.
