Antonio Canova (1 November 1757 – 13 October 1822) was an Italian neoclassical sculptor, famous for his marble sculptures. Oft regarded as the greatest of the neoclassicalartists, his artwork was inspired by the Baroque and the classical revival, but avoided the melodramatics of the former, and the cold artificiality of the latter. Find some of Canova's sculptures on Scan the World here!   This object is part of "Scan The World". Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks and landmarks from across the globe for the public to access for free.
