I made this to be more compatible with my viewers than a multiplate motorcycle disc. It would have an asbestos lining bonded to a spring steel hard twisted ends crushable fan of many straws. This would then be able to transfer torque to a hub that has several coil springs held between ends one of which is fastened to the straws in a membrane fashion and the other end is rivetted to a heavy steel hub that is splined for the input gear of the transmission gear box.
