A name plate for Matt

One of the guys at work was very excited abut my new 3D printer, so I thought I'd make him a small nameplate. And here it is. I was prety suprised how it turned out, with some interesting overhangs, but I was prety impressed. I even like it with the backing raft, so I left it on. gives it a nice border I thought. Instructions Used google sketchup 8, and inserted some 3d text. then I tilted it up, and pulled some of the letters to various depths. Next I placed a small rectangle under the text, and pulled it up, so that it intersected with the text. Then I exported an stl file.
