Team Grit Robotics is working on a better design for a robot that we hope will be in the DARPA DRC Challenge in June of next year. We plan to share the designs with the open source community like Thingiverse. This is a gear box that works with the python script credited in http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3617. Two dxf files are produced that are then used in this gearbox that is 100:1 in a height not much thicker than a skate bearing. Other bearing choices are possible in the script.
