A rat on a cheese

A rat sitting on a cheese... Sculpture realized with Zbrush and Blender, it is printed in 4 parts : the body/cheese set, the muzzle and the 2 ears. Printing does not require any support. I made this impression in just over 35 hours, the longest impression being for the body and the cheese, a little over 30 hours. Once the set has been printed, all that remains is to glue all the pieces together. I used loctite gel glue. For a better finish you have to fill the joints at the muzzle and ears (as well as the few small printing defects) with for example Milliput paste. For my part I use a mixture of plaster and wood glue which gives a quite satisfactory result. Once the joints are dry, all that's left to do is to sand them down and apply a smoothing solution if necessary before painting the piece. Height: approx. 20 cm Length approx. 15 cm The Rat's licence on a cheese is for personal, non-commercial use.
