A simple Spoolholder

A simple Spoolholder

I was getting fed up with the finicky """spoolholder""" which came with the Mk2S so i decided to design something quickly on Fusion 360. Easy to print, very solid and can be operated with only one hand!

DISCLAIMER does NOT work very well with the funky spools from Fiberlogy. The filleted center hole on the spool makes the spool "climb" the light bevel on the holder which normally keeps straight edged spools on.

Spools tested: Fiberlogy, Fillamentum, BASF, ClasOhlson/generic spools, Prusa PLA (feel free to comment other spools that work too)

Print instructions

Print: with 5-8 perimeters and 20% infill for best rigidity and rotate the print so that the "open" end is pointing upwards.

supports: build plate only (can probably printed without supports but just to be safe i recomend printing with supports)

all G-codes have ~7 perimeters, ~4 bottom layers, ~8 top layers and 20/25% 3D honeycomb infill.
