A simple TOP

A simple TOP

thingiverse

A quick printing project is making a top, which with a good spin will stand up for about 50 seconds. This one is 32mm in diameter and uses a 3/16” wooden dowel as the spindle. Cut the dowel to 2.5” (62mm) long and sharpen each end in a pencil sharpener or use a knife. Then cut the dowel in half to make two tops. Print the TOP with 100% fill to get as much weight as possible around the rim (like a flywheel). Slide the dowel into the axis and hold in place with a drop of glue.
