Yedt another way to hold the spool of filament. This is madde wqith 608 bearings and mounts on a 5/16" carriage bolt on the top. Instructions Print two of the spool hubs -- one for the bottom of the spool and one for the top. I printed with 50% infill and 1 extra shell. Note that this prints with the small end down to make the bearing hole clean. put a 5/16" carriage bolt (about 4" long) througn the unused rod hole in the front of the top plate. Secure it with a nut. Drop a 608 bearing onto the bolt and follow it with one of the spool hubs. drop the filament spool on the bearing (note, filament spools are not symetric -- one side is almost flush, and the other side is inset to the hub. Put the flush side down.) Add the second spool hub followed by the 608 bearing and a nut (I am using a wing nut). It is important to "preload" the bearing so that it doesn't spin too freely. Screw down the top nut until it moves easily when pulled, but not witout a small pull.
